Every shot you fire spends it. Every hit you take spends it. Standing still, you're already bleeding out. The only way to top up is to burst the things coming for you and slurp the viscera off the floor.

Every drop you spend lands somewhere. The room only lets you out once you've repainted half of it red. So you're not just surviving. You're redecorating, in arterial spray, with your own supply.

Hit the coverage line and THE HEART rises from the drain. Bleed it dry.

Four ways to make a mess

• HEMOBOLT is cheap & accurate. Your workhorse.
• SPRAYER is a short-range cone that coats everything up close.
• ARTERIAL is a rapid stream that draws long red lines.
• CLEAVER is a melee burst that pops enemies point-blank when you're swarmed and running dry.

Four things that want you empty

• CHASERS rush you.
• BLOATERS pop into a giant splat; a walking coverage bomb.
• SPITTERS hang back and lob hazard globs; no camping!
• SACS are fragile blood piñatas.. pop one for a big refill.

The longer you last, the more violent it gets — gibs, spraying gore, and a screen that reddens & rumbles into FRENZY.

Three ways to bleed

• NORMAL to learn the loop.
• HARD for faster, meaner, thirstier play.
